Description and RequirementsThe IT Engineer works across all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), which includes planning, requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
The IT Engineer plays an important role throughout the software development, transforming business needs into secure software solutions. The responsibilities include:
- Overseeing IT projects from planning to completion, ensuring they align with business goals and are delivered on time.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand user needs, define project objectives, and determine technical requirements.
- Gathering and analyzing detailed functional and non-functional requirements to ensure the solution aligns with business goals.
- Creating and maintaining detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures for internal use and future support.
- Developing the software architecture and select appropriate technologies, laying the foundation for scalable and maintainable systems.
- Translating designs into code, breaking down tasks into manageable components and adhering to best practices for clean, efficient development.
- Conducting unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to identify defects, validate functionality, and ensure the software meets quality standards.
- Managing the release of software into production environments, ensuring stability, performance, and user accessibility.
- Monitoring system performance post deployment, apply updates, resolve issues, enhance features, and address security vulnerabilities.
- Providing technical assistance to end-users, training staff on new systems, and ensuring proper usage of IT resources.
- Analyzing IT processes and measures to improve team performance as well as users experience
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills are essential for the role.
Required Skills & Experience
- Education
:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field. - Professional Experience
: - 5+ years in Software Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or as a Senior Business Analyst.
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing systems for corporate functions (HR, Finance) or within highly regulated industries.
- Technical Expertise
: - Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, Python) and associated enterprise development frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of database design (SQL/No
SQL) and integration technologies (APIs, messaging queues). - Advanced understanding of emerging technologies and architectural principles.
- AI/Analytics
: - Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, including Generative AI and LLMs, and their application in corporate functions such as HR, contract management, or process automation.
- Demonstrated success in technical presales, solution consulting, or sales engineering roles supporting enterprise-level sales cycles.
