Senior DevOps Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Dev Ops Engineer, you will play a leading role in supporting, building and improving development and delivery for the CWT Hotel Platform within the Hotel Product and Technology group. You will mentor engineering team members, experiment with new technologies, and work embedded with the team in Agile development efforts. Carlson Wagonlit Travel seeks talented individuals who are passionate about delivering expertise and service to customers and who enjoy professional challenges.

• Participate in and lead architecture reviews and technology standards definition
• Lead efforts to find, implement, and support new Dev Ops technologies, frameworks, standards, and systems
• Develop systems and architecture to support the agile software development lifecycle
• Experiment with, implement, and propose new operational processes and technologies
• Assist in development, bugfixes, and technical debt
• Anticipate technical and product direction to set up product and engineering teams for future success
• Coordinate with Application Middleware teams to build out release, deployment, and bugfix pipelines
• Participate in and develop an agile software development process

• Experience with Java, Node.js, and Angular
• Database technologies such as No
  
  SQL, document stores, and relational databases
• Messaging technologies including Kafka, Redis, and RabbitMQ
• Monitoring, logging, and analytics tools like ELK, Solar Winds, and Pager Duty
• Cloud technologies (AWS, Rackspace, public & private cloud)
• Designing for scalable architecture
• Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
• Jira
• B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline (preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in full‑time development and/or operations roles
• Passion for travel and the hospitality industry (preferred)
