Our client is seeking a senior Microsoft Enterprise Architect to establish and drive the firm’s Microsoft technology strategy. Reporting to the Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture, this individual will serve as the firm’s senior Microsoft technical authority, translating enterprise strategy into architecture, standards, governance, solution designs, and modernization roadmaps.
This is a newly established architecture function, and the Architect will assess the current Microsoft environment, define the target state, and create the blueprint to move the organization forward. The role will influence infrastructure, security, identity, collaboration, productivity, information governance, and AI initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the existing Microsoft environment and develop current-state, target-state, and modernization architectures.
- Establish Microsoft architecture standards, governance frameworks, and technology roadmaps.
- Architect and drive adoption of Microsoft 365, Copilot, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, Azure, and related technologies.
- Evaluate opportunities to simplify or streamline the existing technology environment through Microsoft capabilities.
- Develop architecture diagrams, solution designs, technical documentation, and decision frameworks.
- Partner with senior technology stakeholders and Microsoft engineering/product teams.
- Provide architectural direction around Microsoft AI technologies, including Copilot and Microsoft Foundry.
- Challenge legacy approaches and develop scalable, forward-looking solutions.
- Microsoft Foundry, Fabric, and emerging AI technologies
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience architecting and/or administering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment.
- Deep SharePoint Online and One Drive expertise.
- Strong experience with M365, Copilot, Teams, Exchange Online, Entra, and Azure.
- Working knowledge of Purview, Graph, Intune, and Power Platform.
- Experience with Microsoft AI technologies and the ability to architect solutions within Azure.
- Experience partnering with Microsoft engineering or product teams.
- Strong technical architecture, documentation, and communication skills.
