Essential Technical Skills
• SQL Proficiency:
Ability to create, read, update, and delete data efficiently; knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server
• Database Management Systems (DBMS):
Experience managing relational databases and performing data modeling.
• Linux Expertise:
Proficiency in Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu); knowledge of system security, permissions, firewall rules, and shell scripting
• Programming and Scripting:
Python or Bash scripting for automation and integrating data pipelines
• Data Tools:
Familiarity with analytical tools like Power BI, Tableau, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is advantageous
Key Responsibilities
• Database Design and Management:
Develop, maintain, and optimize database schemas using SQL; design table structures and relationships to support business needs
• Query Optimization:
Write and improve SQL queries to enhance performance, troubleshoot slow-running queries, and implement indexing strategies.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
Extract, analyze, and report data from large datasets using SQL along with tools like Python or Tableau
• Linux System Administration:
Install, configure, and manage Linux servers, including user account management, file system maintenance, and process monitoring
• Scripting and Automation:
Use Bash or Python scripts to automate tasks such as backups, data import/export, and routine maintenance
• Troubleshooting and Debugging:
Identify and resolve issues in SQL queries, database interactions, and Linux-based applications

Collaboration:
Work with cross-functional teams including developers, data analysts, and IT administrators to maintain system integrity and optimize processes
