Join our team as the Senior Manager, Dev Ops and become a key leader in delivering cutting‑edge technology for our external customers, vendors, and clients. You will manage a fully remote high‑performing team dedicated to maintaining and optimizing our critical infrastructure, ensuring peak performance and security. This includes overseeing stability and performance tuning, customer upgrades and migrations, and implementing robust security measures.

You will be instrumental in managing the customer support requests and guaranteeing seamless, 24‑hour monitoring and support. This is an exciting opportunity to expand the business and make a significant impact on our technology delivery.

Managing the delivery of technology for external customers, vendors, and other clients to improve and expand the business, the Senior Manager, Dev Ops is responsible for managing the team maintaining our infrastructure to perform optimally including: maintaining stability of systems, proactive monitoring, servicing customer support requests, removal of technical debt, and being part of a team that pushes our infrastructure forward.

This role will support important security certification projects and work within federal client boundaries. Successful applicants must be US citizens with willingness and ability to receive necessary security clearances.

• Support Dev Ops team in managing client hosting infrastructure
• Lead the team in best practices for deployment, availability, performance and automation
• Manage and participate in the on‑call rotation as needed
• Provide technical expertise, recommendations and evaluations to the management team
• Assist with coordinating tasks that need to be completed as part of certification processes and procedures as required (SOC2, Fed Ramp, ISO, etc.)
• Assist in the development and implementation of department wide operational policies including security, process, and support policies
• Assist Sales with scoping and pricing non‑standard implementations and infrastructure requests
• Manage the Dev Ops team to ensure the availability and reliability of the Moodle Services hosting platforms
• Coach and mentor Dev Ops team members
• Manage and prioritize team workloads, including managing incoming support and infrastructure requests
• Represent the Dev Ops team in customer facing meetings where required
• Review priorities and with the Global Head of Infrastructure to align work with strategic priorities
• Represent the Dev Ops team to the wide company
• Be responsible for the career development and performance of direct reports

• Extensive experience as a technical lead or manager leading complex, distributed, and remote teams, particularly in large scale environments
• Strong customer facing skills
• Working experience using modern team management methodologies. Agile, SCRUM, are preferred
• Knowledge of best practices related to high availability, fault tolerance, performance and disaster recovery
• 5 years of Linux/Unix system administration experience and AWS hosted infrastructure
• Knowledge of Python, PHP, shell scripting or other scripting languages an advantage
