Position
Purpose:
This position provides leadership for the design, implementation, maintenance, optimization, and technical support of all infrastructure platforms and services, including servers, storage, cloud technologies, virtualization, cybersecurity technologies, end-user computing, identity and access management, telecommunications, data center technologies, disaster recovery, and enterprise systems.
The Manager ensures that infrastructure technologies effectively support clinical operations, patient care, business services, cybersecurity requirements, regulatory compliance, and organizational growth. The role provides day-to-day leadership of infrastructure operations while partnering closely with organizational stakeholders, IT leadership, vendors, and business leaders to enable secure, reliable, and scalable technology the absence of the Director of IT Infrastructure and Networks, this position assumes leadership responsibility for infrastructure operations, service delivery, project oversight, and operational decision-making.
Essential Functions
Leadership and Management
- Serve as the primary deputy to the Director of IT Infrastructure and Networks.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of infrastructure and systems personnel.
- Establish operational priorities, service standards, and performance expectations.
- Coach, mentor, and develop technical staff through performance management and professional development initiatives.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, customer service, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in departmental budgeting, strategic planning, staffing, and resource allocation activities.
- Support succession planning and workforce development initiatives for infrastructure services.
- Hands-on technical ability to perform technical tasks that are escalated from the team members.
Infrastructure Lifecycle Management
- Lead the lifecycle management of all infrastructure technologies from planning and acquisition through deployment, optimization, maintenance, refresh, and retirement.
- Develop and maintain technology roadmaps for infrastructure platforms and enterprise services.
- Ensure infrastructure environments remain secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with organizational objectives.
