Responsibilities
- Manage underlying cloud and cluster technologies composing the internal platform
- Manage stateful backend services including databases and Bitcoin/LN nodes
- Utilize, operate, and extend observability tools for logging, monitoring, and tracing
- Improve platform robustness and security using operators and overlay networks
- Advise dev teams with integrations such as Helm charts, cloud resources, and the k8s lifecycle
- Strong foundations in Linux, networking, security, cloud, and IaC
- Experience managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in production
- Experience operating and extending observability tools
- Proficiency in a systems programming language such as Go, Python, or Rust
- Advanced cloud technologies including Git Ops, Dev Sec Ops , and service mesh
- Database administration experience with PostgreSQL or etcd
- Knowledge of Bitcoin and the Lightning Network
- Familiarity contributing to open source projects
