Ascot is seeking an Operations Technical Specialist to support and manage workflows between multiple departments. The specialist will collaborate with underwriting and other key business partners to transform underwriting elements into finished and standardized documents for our insureds. The role requires strong problem‑solving skills, deep understanding of insurance processes, and expertise navigating complex systems.
Responsibilities- Manage workflow for assigned underwriting business units.
- Leverage standardized workflows and compliance guidelines to ensure quality and consistency.
- Identify improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.
- Provide support to underwriters and brokers throughout the policy lifecycle—including clearance, binders, invoices, endorsements, cancellations, renewals, and reinstatements.
- Ensure files meet compliance standards and Service Level Agreements.
- Draft and issue policy documents.
- Provide guidance and support to the offshore shared‑service team, including training and quality checks.
- Collaborate with offshore team/service center as needed.
- Accurately complete midterm endorsements and communicate updates to underwriting.
- Assist with additional ad hoc projects as required.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role (internships preferred).
- Positive, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly customer‑centric both internally and externally.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong collaborative skills in a fast‑paced, team‑centric environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and computer typing.
Base pay: $55,000 - $65,000 per year. Additional compensation may include an annual cash bonus and other discretionary awards.
