Description
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Claims Administrator to manage, process, and oversee claims related to accidents, cargo damage, liability, and workers' compensation within our companies’ operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring claims are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in claims processing, preferably in transportation or logistics environment, and be able to work cross‑functionally with operations, insurance carriers, legal teams, and third‑party vendors.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, review, and process incoming claims (e.g. vehicle accidents, cargo loss/damage, property damage, bodily injury and worker's compensation).
- Maintain detailed records of all claim files, documentation, and correspondence.
- Liaise with insurance providers, adjusters, legal counsel, and third‑party administrators to facilitate timely resolution of claims.
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g. Safety, Fleet, Dispatch) to gather necessary documentation and information.
- Monitor claim status and proactively follow up to ensure timely progress and resolution.
- Analyze claim trends and prepare regular reports for management on claim frequency, severity, and costs.
- Assist in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
- Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive claim and personnel information.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, risk management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in claims processing, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Familiarity with the FMCSA, DOT regulations, and insurance procedures is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and claims management software (e.g. RMIS, Origami Risk, or similar).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Office environment with occasional travel to terminals, accident sites, or court hearings as required.
