Location: Chicago, IL Hybrid

About the Role

As an Actuarial Consultant , you’ll independently tackle complex actuarial problems, collaborate closely with clients, and contribute to high-impact projects in loss reserving, pricing, and analytics. You’ll work with a diverse client base, including large corporations and captive insurance companies, while enjoying a highly supportive and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct actuarial analysis for loss reserving, pricing, and data analytics projects across multiple lines of business

  • Organize, audit, and analyze large datasets to ensure accuracy and data integrity

  • Build and maintain spreadsheet models, exhibits, and actuarial templates

  • Apply actuarial theory and statistical modeling techniques to real-world client problems

  • Prepare reports and presentation materials to communicate findings to clients

  • Interface directly with clients and assist in explaining methodologies, results, and recommendations

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of actuarial experience in the property & casualty insurance industry (actuarial consulting experience preferred)

  • ACAS or FCAS designation required

  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex actuarial concepts

  • Proficiency or experience with actuarial programming tools such as Alteryx, R, Python, or similar preferred
