Overview

The Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, is accepting applications for a full-time in-house clinical faculty member in areas including Plaintiffs Employment Law, Intellectual Property, Business/Commercial Transactions, or Criminal Defense. The successful candidate will have an established practice, a robust client base, and will teach law student interns, supervise client case work, and mentor students in professional duties.

Responsibilities
  • Teach enrolled law student interns in experiential lawyering skills.
  • Supervise assigned client case work and mentor students through professional duties and issues.
  • Contribute to in-house clinical education in a unique setting.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active Illinois License, or ability to be admitted by motion to the Illinois Bar.
  • Preference for candidates admitted to the Illinois Bar for at least five (5) years with strong background in the specified areas and experience educating law students.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary is based on experience and potential client-fee generation. University benefits include medical, dental, group life insurance, and a retirement plan.
