Litigation Attorney – Senior Associate or Partner (8+ yrs) – Dynamic Chicago Law Firm

About the Position:

Our client, an established boutique law firm in Chicago, has an active need for a litigator (6+ years of experience) to join its busy and entrepreneurial practice as a senior-level associate or junior-level partner (title depending on experience level). This law firm boasts a highly-regarded team of litigators with deep experience handling business and commercial matters in virtually every area of the law in federal and state courts (at both the trial and appellate court levels), as well as before governmental agencies.

Responsibilities:

• Take the lead on all aspects of litigation, from pre-trial discovery through trial
• Draft substantive motions, pleadings, and briefs, take and defend depositions, and appear in court
• Counsel companies, across a variety of industries, in large, multi-jurisdictional dispute proceedings

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of significant commercial litigation experience
• Strong first chair litigation experience and the ability to independently run cases
• Experience with middle market clients preferred
• Interested in building a book of business (no existing business required)

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $250,000+.
