Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role as an Attorney located in Chicago, IL. Hybrid work (3–4 days onsite) is preferred, but fully in-person is acceptable. The Attorney will handle a variety of cases, including representing clients in court, conducting legal research, preparing and filing necessary legal documents, and developing case strategies. Collaboration with clients, colleagues, and court personnel will be integral to the role.
Qualifications- Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and California (California License Preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience practicing law.
- Legal research skills and ability to analyze complex legal issues.
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents and preparing case strategies.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Exceptionally high emotional intelligence (EQ) and analytical intelligence (IQ).
- Previous experience in representing clients in criminal defense cases is highly desirable.
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in Spanish or Chinese is a strong plus.
- Willingness to travel on short notice when business needs arise.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime as required.
- Practice Panther case management system (training available, not required).
- Hybrid preferred, 3–4 days onsite. Fully in-person acceptable.
