About the Position: We are working with an elite global law firm that has an immediate need for a corporate lawyer with a strong focus in private equity transactions to join its Chicago office as an associate. With world-leading practices in both private equity funds and private equity transactions, this firm’s private equity attorneys advise leading large and middle-market clients across various industries on every aspect of their most complex global transactions.

• Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents, including financing documents and purchase and shareholder agreements
• Conduct thorough due diligence and research on potential investment opportunities
• Assist in the structuring and formation of private equity funds
• Provide guidance on transactions, corporate governance matters, securities regulations, and compliance issues relating to private equity transactions
• Supervise and professionally develop junior colleagues on the team
• Keep abreast of industry trends, legal developments, and best practices in private equity law

• 3–6 years of experience working on private equity transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financings
• Experience representing private equity and strategic investors
• Strong knowledge of corporate law and securities regulations
• Large law firm experience preferred

Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $260,000 – $390,000.
