Salary: $200,000 - $220,000 + bonus

Piper Maddox are partnered with an industry leading energy producer with around 9GW of operational power plants across the US. With a recent PE acquisition this business are moving into growth mode, and focused on building their clean energy assets across the US.

Working closely with the General Counsel, you will support a broad range of corporate, transactional, and project development activities. Working with cross-functional teams on matters related to project acquisition, development, construction, and operation of new and existing projects.

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including NDAs, land agreements, EPC agreements, and service contracts.
• Support M&A transactions, including due diligence, document preparation, and closing processes.
• Provide legal guidance on project development matters, including permitting, interconnection, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with corporate governance, entity formation, and compliance initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal general counsel as well as third party legal resources.

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission (or eligibility for admission) to practice.
• 3+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, ideally with exposure to energy, infrastructure, or project finance.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for the renewable energy sector and commitment to collaborative problem-solving.
