Fund Formation Associate (2+ yrs) – Am Law 50 Firm
About the Position:
Our client, a highly-regarded international law firm, is actively seeking a lawyer with private investment fund formation experience gained at a large law firm to join its practice in Chicago. This nationally Chambers-ranked practice group advises funds ranging from $5 million to over $1 billion across a range of industries, including internet, social media, clean technology, healthcare, and biotechnology.

Responsibilities:
- Represent sponsors and investors in private investment funds
- Handle fund formation transactions, sponsor-level transactions, and secondary transactions related to limited partner and/or portfolio company interests
- Counsel clients on fund regulatory and compliance matters
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of private investment fund formation experience
- Large law firm experience preferred
- Top academic credentials
Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $235,000+.
