Our client, an established Chicago real estate development law firm, has an active need for a real estate lawyer with significant zoning experience to join its practice. • Work on significant private development projects assisting in rezonings, annexations and the procurement of public entitlements
• Appear before local zoning boards, plan commissions and municipal councils and represent clients at public hearings and negotiations
• Provide guidance to property owners on zoning laws and assist in preparing and filing all necessary applications and permits for zoning approval
• Handle a range of real estate transactions involving acquisition, disposition, development, financing, structuring and leasing of residential, commercial and industrial real property
• Draft and negotiate annexation and development agreements

• 8-10 years of real estate transactional experience
• Substantial experience with land use development and zoning matters
• Strong business development/client relationship skills
• Book of business preferred but not required

Chicago, IL (Hybrid/Remote)

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $215,000 – $250,000.
