Corporate Associate

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a talented mid-level Associate to join their Corporate Practice Group in our Chicago office. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions alongside a collaborative team recognised for its excellence in mergers and acquisitions and private equity work.

Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr

• Represent financial sponsors and strategic buyers and sellers in a wide range of M&A and private equity transactions, from deal inception through closing.
• Draft, review, and negotiate acquisition and disposition agreements, as well as related transaction documents.
• Advise clients on deal structures, transaction strategy, and risk management considerations.
• Manage deal processes efficiently, including supervising junior associates and coordinating with specialists across the firm.
• Conduct and oversee due diligence and assist in the resolution of complex transactional issues.

• 4–6 years of experience in M&A and private equity transactions at a leading law firm.
• Strong background representing both financial sponsors and strategic buyers/sellers.
• Proven experience preparing and negotiating key deal documentation.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
• Admission to the Illinois Bar is required.
