Attorney

A law firm seeks an attorney with 0-2 years of experience defending workers' compensation cases to join their Chicago, IL office. The role involves representing employers and insurers in various legal proceedings and managing workers' compensation cases.

• Gather and review medical evidence and records.
• Take depositions of claimants, physicians, and other parties.
• Perform legal research and stay updated on legal developments.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Litigate cases before an administrative law judge.
• Represent employer or insurer interests at hearings and trials.
• Communicate with claims representatives.
• Assist in accident investigations and problem-solving.
• Manage costs to reduce liability.
• Compile and submit management reports.
• Coordinate and attend claims reviews.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.

• J.D. and admission to the Illinois bar.
• Knowledge of legal research, principles, and practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook;
  Perfect Law preferred.
• Maintain firm and client confidentiality.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.)

• Admission to Illinois Bar
