M&A/Private Equity Associate (4+ yrs) – Leading Practice of Am Law 50 Firm
About the Position:
Our client, a top Am Law 50 firm with a strong international footprint, has an active need for a corporate lawyer to join its market leading practice in Chicago as an associate. Attorneys in this firm’s top-ranked M&A practice work on some of the world’s largest, most complex cross-border transactions alongside multinational clients, private equity funds, and global corporations. In this position you will collaborate with leading practitioners across multiple disciplines and international offices, gaining hands-on experience on high-profile deals while receiving the training and support to advance your career.

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal guidance to emerging and privately held businesses, as well as venture capital, private equity, and strategic investors, in transactions involving financings, M&A, divestitures, restructurings, and general corporate issues
- Draft and negotiate purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements and other ancillary transaction documents
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of private equity and M&A experience
- Excellent drafting and writing skills
- Strong academic credentials
Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $310,000+.
