Syntax Talent Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Attorney to join our client, a prestigious law firm in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in tax law, trust and estates, and demonstrate a successful track record in handling complex tax and legal issues for high net worth clients. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing sophisticated legal solutions and strategic tax planning to our esteemed clientele.

• Provide expert legal counsel and advice on tax-related matters, including income tax, estate tax, gift tax, and property tax issues.
• Develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies for high net worth individuals and families to optimize tax outcomes.
• Handle complex legal issues related to trust and estates, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Represent clients in tax disputes and litigation, effectively advocating for their interests before federal and state tax authorities.
• Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to deliver integrated solutions tailored to clients' unique circumstances.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to stay abreast of evolving tax laws and regulations, and advise clients accordingly.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including wills, trusts, estate plans, and tax-related agreements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing personalized service and fostering long-term partnerships.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance client service and satisfaction.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• CPA required.
• Admission to the Illinois State Bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a tax attorney, preferably within a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Proven expertise in handling tax and trust & estates matters for high net worth clients.
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
