Private Equity / Venture Capital Associate Attorney – $185k–$260k BASE SALARY – Chicago, IL

Aligned Talent Acquisition partners with several respected mid‑sized and boutique law firms throughout Chicago and the surrounding metro area that regularly hire Private Equity and Venture Capital attorneys. This posting represents ongoing hiring needs across our client base as firms continue to expand their transactional teams supporting fund formations, buyouts, and growth equity transactions. We’re connecting with attorneys in the 3–7 year range who have strong experience representing investors, sponsors, or portfolio companies in M&A, fund, or joint venture transactions.

• Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, operating agreements and term sheets
• Advise clients on fund structuring and investment strategy
• Manage due diligence and deal closings
• Work directly with partners and clients on strategic growth transactions

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Illinois bar admission required or pending
• 3–7 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, or M&A
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Strong academic credentials and business acumen

💰 $185,000 — $260,000 base salary, depending on firm size and experience. Most firms offer annual bonuses, hybrid work flexibility, and comprehensive benefits.
