Hall Prangle seeks a full‑time associate in its Chicago office with 2‑5 years experience as a practicing litigator, ideally with background in insurance defense, medical malpractice, or healthcare law. Associates work with small teams of attorneys and paralegals, led by seasoned trial attorneys. The right candidate will be skilled, hard‑working, pleasant, and personable.

• Provide legal counsel and representation to the firm’s clients from pre‑trial through trial.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, written discovery, and agreements.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, trials, and client meetings.
• Conduct legal research and case analysis.
• Collaborate with senior associates and partners on case strategy.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Illinois State Bar.
• 2‑5 years experience in the defense of medical malpractice cases or practicing healthcare law.
• Strong understanding of state and federal court rules and procedures.
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Exceptional oral and written communication.
