Quarles is seeking a Patent Prosecution Paralegal in our Chicago office to assist with all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution across multiple clients and technologies.

• Coordinating filing new applications.
• Analyzing USPTO and foreign counsel correspondence.
• Tracking due dates via matter management and docketing systems.
• Proactively preparing client reporting's and prosecution documents.
• Communicating with USPTO, attorneys, paralegals, liaisons, foreign associates, staff and clients regarding prosecution matters.

• At least 2 years working with intellectual property, and the majority of that spent with patent prosecution.
• A minimum of 2+ years of law firm experience.
• A bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification is required.
• Strong attention to detail and expertise working with an extensive patent prosecution docket.
• Exceptional client service focus.
• A commitment to being part of a great team.
• Ability to work independently and to prioritize and multi-task to complete projects effectively and efficiently.
• Outstanding communication (oral & written) and organization skills.
