The Opportunity

We’re seeking a General Counsel who will lead and modernize the legal function across the Skybox family of companies.

This is both a strategic and hands‑on role, ideal for an experienced attorney who combines traditional legal expertise with a deep understanding of how AI can transform the practice of law. You’ll use AI and specialized legal software to research, draft, and analyze — ensuring the team engages outside counsel only when necessary and always with clarity and focus.

You’ll oversee legal, HR, compliance, and governance across a portfolio that includes entities in the U.S., Israel, Canada, and other jurisdictions — working closely with leadership to anticipate and manage legal risk while supporting growth.

What You’ll Do

• Lead all legal and compliance functions for Skybox Capital and its portfolio companies

• Use AI tools and legal‑specific software (e.g., Harvey, CoCounsel, Spellbook, Casetext) to conduct research, draft contracts, and prepare analysis before engaging outside counsel

• Oversee HR legal compliance, supporting the Director of People and HR Coordinator

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements across all operating companies

• Ensure state, federal, and international compliance, particularly for GoTickets, which operates across multiple U.S. jurisdictions

• Guide corporate governance and entity management across the Skybox portfolio

• Manage outside counsel strategically to ensure cost‑effective, targeted use of resources

• Advise leadership on employment law, data privacy, cybersecurity, and risk management

• Support strategic transactions, including investments, acquisitions, and divestitures

• Develop templates, policies, and scalable processes for legal and HR documentation

• Oversee compliance for international offices and offshore employees in Israel, Canada, India, and the Philippines

• Coordinate with outside counsel on real estate and asset management matters at Magnolia Capital

• Monitor and advise on manufacturing and supplier agreements in China, Vietnam, and other international jurisdictions, leveraging AI to streamline review and due diligence

Who You Are

• J.D. and active bar membership (U.S.)

• 8+ years of legal experience, ideally including in‑house experience with private equity, family offices, or multi‑entity organizations

• Demonstrated proficiency using AI in legal workflows — drafting, compliance, contract review, and research

• Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑jurisdictional legal environments

• Strong foundation in corporate, employment, and compliance law

• Skilled at balancing risk with business objectives and providing pragmatic guidance

• Experienced in managing outside counsel cost‑effectively

• Excellent communicator with the ability to translate legal language into clear business recommendations

• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial, and global environment

• Curious, tech‑forward, and constantly seeking ways to enhance efficiency and insight through AI
