Summary ofEssential Duties and Responsibilities
he Docket & Court Services Specialist is responsible for providing calendar and court support to assigned litigation case teams. The Specialist will be part of a network of docket staff who work in a regional assignment structure across all U.S. offices lead by the Firm Docket & Court Services Manager. The Specialist will report to the Regional Docket Manager in their region.
They will perform their responsibilities in accordance with Firm instructions and Firm standards for delivering docket and court support services.
- Two (2) to four (4) years of experience of docketing or relevant litigation support experience.
- Extensive knowledge of federal court procedural rules.
- Litigation paralegal experience with filing experience, beneficial.
- Understand the workflow for a variety of litigation cases to accurately enter case information and select the appropriate court jurisdiction utilizing a rule based docketing software.
- Perform requested docket research and retrieve case documents using PACER and other electronic services. This may include contacting court clerks to obtain documents not available electronically.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills.
Jones Day offers competitive salaries and benefits to all employees. Compensation is determined upon the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience and skills of the applicant, and other job‑related factors. The starting salary range for this Chicago position is $75,000 – $95,000.
