Transactional Tax Associate (3-7 yrs) – Chambers-Ranked Practice About the Position

We are working with one of the world’s largest law firms that has an immediate need for a tax attorney to join its Chicago office as a mid/senior-level associate. Renowned as one of the leading tax practices globally, this group handles a wide range of tax matters, including policy and planning, transactional work, and dispute resolution.

• Advise clients on structuring domestic and cross-border investments across various asset classes, private investment offerings, and mergers and acquisitions
• Draft and negotiate contracts and investment documents
• Draft opinions and memoranda on complex US tax matters

• 3-7 years of transactional tax experience
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: real estate taxation, private equity, partnership taxation and joint ventures, energy sector transactions, and/or family office structuring
• LLM in taxation is a plus
• Excellent academic credentials

Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $260,000 – $420,000.
