Attorney - Professional Liability; Architects & Engineers

O'Hagan Meyer is seeking a highly motivated attorney with at least three years of litigation experience to join its Chicago, IL office. The ideal candidate will have experience defending professional liability claims involving Architects & Engineers and construction defects. Insurance defense experience is also a plus.

• Admission to the Illinois State Bar
• 3+ years of litigation experience, including researching and drafting writing legal memoranda; drafting pleadings, substantive motions and written discovery; developing litigation strategy; conducting large-scale document reviews and productions; working directly with clients; communicating with opposing counsel; and second-chairing trials, depositions and/or evidentiary hearings.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills as well as the ability to draft persuasive, clear and effective pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, mediation statements, orders and settlement agreements.
• Strong organizational and time management skills including the ability to efficiently manage multiple matters at once and produce exceptional work product under tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have the confidence and demeanor to build relationships with the Firm’s current clients, as well as the drive and ability to develop additional client relationships and business.

Salary Range: $120,000 to $190,000
