This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Trusts and Estates Attorney who enjoys advising individuals, families, and closely held entities on complex estate planning, tax structuring, and probate matters. The role stands out for its client-facing responsibility, depth of work, and stability within a mature practice.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with comprehensive estate planning and trust administration matters
- Manage probate proceedings and related court matters, including potential probate litigation
- Advise individuals, trusts, estates, and business entities on tax planning strategies
- Collaborate directly with clients to structure estate and tax solutions aligned with long-term goals
- Support business structuring for corporations, pass-through entities, trusts, and estates
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning and estate administration
- Strong background in probate and trust matters
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois (Illinois Bar required)
- Excellent legal writing skills and strong academic credentials
- LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred
- Proficiency in estate planning, probate, and trust administration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear and effective client communication abilities
- Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating with a team
