Note:

Working Environment

Hours:

Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Primary Function

To provide administrative support for  . 66/Grand Jury Unit.

Physical Requirements

Light Work:
The position requires the ability to stand or walk frequently, often for extended periods. You may need to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds regularly, and occasionally heavier items. The job may also involve a significant amount of walking or standing relative to sedentary roles.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare information and Indictments
  • Proofread and sort documents
  • Distribute case files evenly among employees on a daily basis
  • Research criminal backgrounds through Leads and I-Clear
  • Prepare blue backs
  • Trouble shoot various problems that may arise within  . 66/Grand Jury
  • Assist with providing training to members of the unit
  • Assist Unit supervisor when needed
  • Facilitate the transfer of files to the Office of the Chief Judge and district locations
  • Transfer charging documents to the clerk of the Circuit Court
  • Interact regularly with State’s Attorney’s Office employees
  • Interact with the public
  • Interact with various outside agencies
  • Maintain confidentiality of information
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications Required
  • The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to manage high work volume
  • Proficiency in CRIMES and Clerks required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
