Corporate Lending Attorney

JURISolutions is seeking an experienced attorney to join our financial‑service industry client’s legal department supporting their global corporate banking group. In this role, you will provide day‑to‑day legal guidance for a team that handles syndicated and bilateral lending transactions for US and international corporations, financial institutions, and public sector clients, and advise on legal and other risks, products, services, and regulations that impact the firm.

This position is full‑time, on‑site in our client’s Chicago or New York City office for a duration of six months.

• Provide transactional support for syndicated and bilateral loan transactions, including analysis and advice on structural and risk issues
• Review, draft, and negotiate credit and collateral documentation, confidentiality agreements, guarantees, collateral assignments of deposit accounts, advised line documents, fee letters, term sheets, and commitment letters, standard bank loan documentation forms, amendments and waivers
• Advise risk teams on various credit agreement issues
• Support and advise the business with respect to client related matters (including relationship, reputational and anti‑money laundering issues) which may arise
• Prepare and update standard forms and procedures, manage outside counsel relationships, and provide training to the business

• Juris Doctor (JD) or educational equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in syndicated lending at a law firm and/or in‑house legal department at a large bank or other financial services company
• Anticipate legal issues for different businesses and business models
• Ability to prioritize work in a fast‑moving environment, manage a large number of issues at one time, and interact with senior and executive management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in IL, NY or otherwise in compliance with the in‑house counsel registration rules in such state

• Experience collaborating on a broad range of business strategies and issues
• Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills, judgment and character
