Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3–10 years of litigation experience to join their team in Chicago. The role focuses on first-party property insurance disputes and may involve both insurance defense and insurance coverage work. This position offers opportunities for travel and collaboration on complex insurance matters.

Responsibilities
  • Draft coverage opinions and litigate insurance coverage and bad faith cases.
  • Manage cases through all phases, including motions, discovery, depositions, and court proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality written work.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and provide exceptional service.
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to strategic case planning.
Required Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active Illinois Bar admission.
  • 3–10 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance-related matters.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills.
  • Proficient in legal research and oral presentation.
  • Ability to manage cases independently and work collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.
  • Familiarity with first-party property insurance disputes.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client or case-related matters.
