Finance Associate (5-8 yrs) – Am Law 200 Firm

Our client, a Midwest-based national law firm, has an active need for a finance lawyer (5-8 yrs) with private equity experience to join its thriving practice in Chicago as a mid or senior-level associate. This full-service firm represents some of the most well-known corporations in the country and offers a small office atmosphere with the resources of a large law firm.

• Assist with managing all aspects of finance transactions, including negotiation, documentation, and closing
• Provide strategic and legal advice to private equity funds, mezzanine funds, SBICs, BDCs, family offices and independent sponsors regarding their investment strategies (including leveraged buyouts, mezzanine financings, growth capital transactions, early and late‑stage private equity investments and secondary transactions)

• 5-8 years of experience representing lenders and borrowers in financial transactions, including financing of private equity acquisitions and both senior and mezzanine debt transactions
• Experience structuring and closing financing transactions in a range of industries
• Strong academic credentials

Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $263,500 – $335,000.
