About the Position: Our client, a leading Am Law 50 firm, has an active need for a bankruptcy/restructuring lawyer to join as an associate in its Chicago office. In addition to its US offices, this highly regarded group has a runaway presence in Europe and Asia and represents both creditors and debtors, including an impressive list of financial institutions. Responsibilities:

• Present and argue contested matters in court
• Draft pleadings, including first‑day motions and reorganization plans
• Assist in the sale or purchase of distressed assets and manage orderly liquidations
• Conduct claims reconciliation and objection processes
• Participate in negotiation settlements and work closely with official committees of unsecured creditors, banks, and other parties‑in‑interest

Qualifications:

• 3‑4 years of experience with in‑court and out‑of‑court restructurings
• Experience working on Chapter 11 proceedings
• Strong academic credentials

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $260,000 – $310,000.
