Warehouse Supervisor

Supervise the shipping and receiving of goods into the Vantage Oleochemicals Warehouse. This includes receipts from suppliers and the production department, management and requisitioning of supplies and services, inventory record keeping, management of inventory, carrier scheduling, and shipment of goods primarily to customers and storage locations. Also, coordinate rail operations in the absence of the Rail Coordinator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and cleanliness in the warehouse environment.
• Prepare daily flaker plans in collaboration with the Planning Manager to meet customer demands.
• Process paperwork and print labels for big bags.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, generate monthly reports, and make BPCS adjustments after discussions with the manager.
• Ship materials on a FIFO basis.
• Manage customer rejections and damages rework.
• Relieve inventory forms in BPCS and generate labels as needed.
• Communicate daily with warehouse staff, flaker operators, and loading crews, conducting daily meetings.
• Learn traffic and rail coordination roles within six months to enable rotation.
• Participate in company safety programs and facilitate team involvement.
• Schedule and manage shipments and rail operations in the absence of respective coordinators.
• Assist with distribution and logistics tasks as directed.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 3–5 years of warehouse or industrial experience, preferably in a union environment.

Knowledge, Skills, & Talents

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexible and detail-oriented.
• Computer literate.

Working Conditions

• Half the time in the office, half on the warehouse floor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety standards.

Pay and Benefits

The annual base pay ranges from $60,000 to $90,000, based on experience and qualifications. Eligible for a short-term incentive plan. Benefits include insurance, disability, EAP, PTO, 401(k), and union-provided health plans.
