Organizational Change Management Lead
Reports to the Director of Enterprise Change Management and plays a key role in driving technology change management efforts for the department program.
Responsibilities- Apply a structured OCM (Organizational Change Management) methodology and lead change management activities to support the adoption of department initiatives.
- Conduct change impact assessment and stakeholder analysis for various CIDT projects, including Project 1849 – CIWP / Unified CI and Project 1832 – Equitable Course Advising.
- Attend project planning meetings to understand change impact, perform stakeholder analysis, and develop training plans.
- Join SIS Data Quality Early planning sessions to familiarize with scope and priorities and plan OCM work.
- Implement the OCM methodology, playbook, and toolkit across department projects, establishing strategy and plans covering change impact, stakeholder identification and management, communications, training, change readiness, and adoption.
- Lead change management efforts, driving execution of work streams, projects, and tasks, while coaching and advising senior leaders, people managers, and project leaders to fulfill their change roles.
- Manage OCM delivery by establishing key change milestones, delivery timelines, and partnering with program and project managers; create, monitor, and report user adoption metrics to track effectiveness.
- Oversee program and project communications, ensuring coordinated plans for internal and external audiences, and leveraging multiple methods and channels.
- Oversee program and project training, review training requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs.
- Address resistance by monitoring employee resistance, recommending mitigation strategies, and escalating unresolved resistance to project and senior leaders.
The role applies OCM methodology to drive adoption of department initiatives by assessing impact, identifying stakeholders, communicating, training, and managing change readiness.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Psychology, Change Management or a relevant concentration.
- Relevant Organizational Change Management certifications (e.g., PROSCI, CCMP) preferred.
- 10+ years of organizational change management experience using a structured methodology, communications, and employee engagement.
- Trusted advisor experience for project managers, product owners, and senior leaders.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, guided by policy and business plans with limited senior input.
- Proven ability to produce high‑quality deliverables and set standards for a change management team.
- Successfully managed diverse team members and business stakeholders, preferably in the public sector or educational environment.
- Master’s degree in Change Management or a relevant concentration.
- Highly organized, with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics.
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
- Experience coaching and advising senior leaders, people managers, and project teams; training and mentoring team members to deliver change management activities.
