Private Equity Needs a New Talent Strategy (Harvard Business Review). Our clients enter markets through acquisition, hiring a leader to be the champion for growth, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and begin to scale the local market. As the new market grows, they search for other local complementary businesses to tie under the newly hired CEO and grow through both organic and inorganic strategies.

This PE client is a top-decile private equity fund with a long history of successful investments in professional residential financial and tech services. This holding company is an investment out of its 9th fund with $4.5B committed capital and focuses on acquiring and growing financial services companies. Their executive leaders are experienced PE operators, representing an all-star team. Past leadership hires have included high-performing veterans with strong leadership skills and next-level execution abilities.

Position Details

This is an opportunity to be a Chief Executive Officer at one of the company's partner brands. The CEO will work hand-in-hand with the founder of the newly acquired business to oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations; the person is the sunrise and sunset for the entire business. The CEO will drive growth performance metrics, create an amazing workplace culture, and develop all staff and management, constantly striving to be a world-class operator and helping others to do the same.

You will be responsible for driving organic growth of the business. You will be supported by partner services teams that work at the holding company level and adjacent business leaders.

Primary Responsibilities

• Successful integration of tuck-in acquisitions that occur in your market area

• Hiring and managing business leaders within your company

• Partnering with peer leaders to ensure that best practices are shared across the full platform

• Working with peers and leadership to share best practices

Professional Qualifications

3-5 years post-military experience with demonstrated P&L ownership and growth.
