About the Opportunity
A highly respected Chicago-based general contractor is launching a dedicated Mission Critical division and is seeking an Project Manager to join the team during its early growth phase.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to Mission Critical and highly MEP-intensive projects while working on local Chicago and Illinois projects
. You’ll support senior project leadership and gain hands‑on experience within a division being built from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee budgets, schedules, contracts, and risk management
- Partner with leadership on staffing plans, project strategy, and delivery approach
- Establish best practices for a growing multifamily portfolio
- Serve as a key client‑facing leader and culture carrier for the division
Ideal Background
- 5–15 years of experience in construction project management or project engineering
- Experience with a general contractor preferred
- Exposure to MEP‑intensive, healthcare, industrial, or technical projects a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Interest in building a long‑term career in Mission Critical construction
