Job Summary

The Project Manager - Design & Construction is responsible for leading a construction project from estimate to completion, developing budgets,schedules, strategies, and coordinating/communicating between involved teams. Partnering with Operations, IT, Purchasing, Financial Services, Partners,Architects, Engineers, and Consultants to deliver a highly functional and efficient project that delivers positive financial results. This position also supports all new business endeavors with project assessments, designs, and budgets and attends presentations, as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Detailed Responsibilities

  • Leads project from estimate through close-out documentation

  • Manages delivery of individual projects and holds primary responsibility for the achievement of cost, schedule, and quality objectives

  • Provides project oversight or consulting services of the design, construction, build-out, occupancy/turn over, and warranty phases of projects

  • Develop and maintain or provide consulting services for project budgets, schedules, and procurement strategy

  • Controls or provides consulting services on scope, cost, schedule, and quality of work

  • Oversees or consults on the activities of Project Architects/Engineers, Construction Managers, and Site Superintendents on assigned projects

  • Effectively communicates and coordinates between various departments, design, construction, compliance, client and subcontractor/vendor personnel

  • Coordinates resources to achieve project goals - has the ability to anticipate and mitigate any issues or problems so as not to negatively affect openings

  • Manages client interaction on assigned projects and promotes positive relationship - has the ability to effectively present and communicate with internal stakeholders and partners

  • Identifies risks to internal and partner Project Executives and operations to mitigate risks

  • Works with SVP and VP of Design & Construction to develop project management procedures and lends expertise on matters related to design and construction issues

  • Manages all project invoices an accounts payable; prepares and updates budgets throughout projects

  • Performs site visits and travel as warranted

  • Manages regulatory agencies needs, including health department

  • Manages Design & Construction Project Managers

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience in Project Management, preferably in the Hospitality field

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • Ability to present impactfully to current and prospective partners

  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Ability to read, understand and create contractual requirements, scope objectives, A/E documents and financial reports

  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products and any software related to Design and Construction

  • Previous experience managing people
