Reports to: Chief Program Officer (CPO)

FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-Time

Salary Range: $70,000–$78,000 commensurate with candidate experience

Summary: The Director of Child & Family Support Services is a member of the program leadership team and has primary responsibility for the day‑to‑day management and operations of CPA’s supportive housing, case management, and clinical programs. The Director will provide administrative and clinical supervision to program staff and partners to ensure services are delivered in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and contractual requirements, and in fidelity to CPA’s model.

The Director is responsible for ensuring the quality of care for all supportive housing and case‑managed clients, leading the Child & Family Support Services Team while collaborating across program departments to evaluate and enhance clinical services, expand offerings, and catalyze opportunities in the behavioral health space. The Director takes the lead in developing the agency’s clinical policies to ensure consistency in service quality and pursues high standards for excellence to meet or exceed COA accreditation and licensing requirements.

As a key leadership team member, this role will guide the strategic direction, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive support services that promote stability, well‑being, and long‑term success for vulnerable families.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CFSS Program Design, Accountability, Management, and Training
  • Leads the Child & Family Support Services (CFSS) team that consists of the Senior Case Manager and Case Management Intern.
  • Ensures adequate progress toward annual program targets as defined by the annual work plan, strategic plan, and contractual agreements.
  • Leads the effort to build and maintain a robust wraparound transitional housing service model.
  • Partners with the Senior Case Manager to evaluate and strengthen the comprehensive case management functions, with the ambition to grow this component.
  • Conceptualizes new programs and services as appropriate to address emerging client needs, maximize opportunities and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Acts as Co‑Chair of the Housing/Intake Committee. Deploys best practices to assess and recommend clients for placement.
  • Evaluates individual and team performance and uses information to make necessary improvements to maximize the quality of care and staff productivity.
  • Partners with staff to create and achieve comprehensive departmental goals, including program, fiscal, professional development, and training.
  • Reviews and/or completes reports for internal and external stakeholders and funders.
  • Develops and implements program policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure efficiency, consistency, and alignment with best practices.
  • Establishes data collection and evaluation processes to track program effectiveness and identify areas for growth or improvement.
  • Oversees program audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and funding requirements.
  • Implements continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
  • Supervises program staff, providing ongoing mentorship, training, and performance feedback to ensure professional growth and adherence to best practices.
  • Leads the development of staff training curricula to enhance case management, trauma‑informed care, and evidence‑based intervention strategies.
  • Creates strategic partnerships with external organizations to expand program reach, share resources, and develop collaborative service models.
  • Oversees crisis response and risk management efforts to ensure the safety and well‑being of clients and staff.
