Overview
The Entry Level Assistant Golf Professional/Outside Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in the golf operation, working closely with the Head Golf Professional, two Assistant Professionals, and other team members. This position offers the chance to learn, contribute, and make a meaningful impact on the club's operations.
Experience RequiredKey responsibilities include managing all outdoor operations to ensure a seamless experience for golfers. This involves supervising staff, coordinating daily play, and maintaining exceptional service standards and facility upkeep. The core aspects of this role are staff training and management, delivering outstanding customer service, overseeing course and event operations.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Efficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Event-Man Tournament Software
- Tournament operations experience
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Staff Supervision and Training
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise outside operations staff, including starters, bag attendants, and cart staff.
- Ensure team members understand and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Provide ongoing feedback and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Daily Operations Management
- Oversee all outdoor golf operations, including bag drop, cart staging, driving range, and on‑course support.
- Monitor and coordinate daily play, ensuring smooth and efficient flow without the use of tee times.
- Maintain a visible presence to address member and guest needs promptly.
- Customer Service
- Ensure all members and guests receive a warm welcome and personalized attention throughout their visit.
- Address complaints or issues promptly and professionally, working to provide effective resolutions.
- Foster a culture of hospitality and service excellence among the team.
- Course and Event Operations
- Coordinate with golf professionals and event staff to execute tournaments, outings, and special events.
- Ensure proper setup and execution of on‑course logistics, such as signage, pin placements, and pace of play.
- Maintain readiness of all outdoor facilities and equipment.
- Facility and Equipment Maintenance
- Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all outdoor facilities, including cart barns and bag storage areas.
- Monitor and maintain the golf cart fleet and other outdoor equipment, coordinating necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Support the Head Professional and Assistant Professionals with special projects or operational needs.
- Perform additional tasks to enhance the member and guest experience as required.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
- Exhibit strong leadership, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
