Maintenance Supervisor at Mauser Packaging Solutions

Location:

Chicago, IL

Overview

Lead and coordinate maintenance activities to support production, focusing on preventative and corrective maintenance, safety, and team development.

Responsibilities
  • Oversees, plans and issues work orders to shift team members for equipment modifications and preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Coordinates repairs and maintenance with production and scheduling departments.
  • Maintains an active presence on the floor, providing hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of production equipment.
  • Enforces plant rules, monitors attendance, and applies corrective action as necessary.
  • Conducts safety inspections, examines tools/equipment, and facilitates safety training to prevent unsafe conditions or violations.
  • Enforces safety and compliance items such as Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Hot Work/Permits, and LSQ.
  • Prepares and submits purchase requisitions for materials, tools, equipment and replacement parts; interfaces with vendors as needed; may maintain spare parts inventory depending on location.
  • Fosters a positive working environment and drives the Maintenance team to meet productivity targets and performance standards.
  • Plans and coordinates installation and removal of plant equipment.
  • Ensures Maintenance employees are trained in safety, quality and production; coordinates safety and technical training as needed.
  • Serves as back-up to Maintenance Manager when unavailable.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares purchase requisitions and interfaces with vendors; may manage spare parts inventory.

  • Ensures employees are trained in safety, quality and production; coordinates required training.
  • Back-up to Maintenance Manager as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience leading/supervising in a manufacturing operation.
  • Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Salary and Benefits

Salary Pay Range: $95,000–$110,000 per year. Exact pay offered depends on experience, location, skills, etc.
