Conventional Machine Operator

We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain and operate machinery. You’ll ensure the interminable and efficient running of production. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. Has a willingness to learn and improve.
Essential Job Functions:

• Set up machines(calibration, cleaning etc.) tostart a production cycle
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
• Test operation of machines periodically
• Check output to spotany machine-related mistakes or flaws
• Using machine equipment to complete tasks
• Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment
• Evaluating the efficiency of each unit regularly, identifying improvements as needed
• Shear materials for jobs as needed
• Inspect drills for defects and ensure proper sizing
• Run CNC machinery efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area
• Collaborate effectively within a team setting
• Adhere to safety guidelines, company policies, and operational protocols

Requirements:

• Ability to read tape measures and calipers
• Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems
• Adherence to health and safety regulations
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
• Analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience with CNC machines, drillers and routers
• Familiarity with production manufacturing environments
• Capable of assembling and preparing panels
• Basic computer input skills
• Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with the company's timekeeping policy and all other company policies

Required Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products. Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and climb for long periods of time.
Work Environment: Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand. Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.
