We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain and operate machinery. You’ll ensure the interminable and efficient running of production. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. Has a willingness to learn and improve.
Essential Job Functions:
- Set up machines(calibration, cleaning etc.) tostart a production cycle
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
- Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
- Test operation of machines periodically
- Check output to spotany machine-related mistakes or flaws
- Using machine equipment to complete tasks
- Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment
- Evaluating the efficiency of each unit regularly, identifying improvements as needed
- Shear materials for jobs as needed
- Inspect drills for defects and ensure proper sizing
- Run CNC machinery efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area
- Collaborate effectively within a team setting
- Adhere to safety guidelines, company policies, and operational protocols
Requirements:
- Ability to read tape measures and calipers
- Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems
- Adherence to health and safety regulations
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience with CNC machines, drillers and routers
- Familiarity with production manufacturing environments
- Capable of assembling and preparing panels
- Basic computer input skills
- Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with the company's timekeeping policy and all other company policies
Work Environment: Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand. Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.
