Overview

Founded in 1963, Townley Engineering & Manufacturing is a rapidly growing, American-made solutions expert for wear and abrasion problems found in the mining, dredging, and power industries. We have an opening for a Manufacturing Technician in Assembly that assemble components by hand, add finishing touches to components, and perform quality checks on parts.

• Perform all product testing to ensure quality of each piece
• Maintain the tools used to create products
• Assemble products and parts
• Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions
• Verify specifications by measuring completed components
• Monitor the production line and remove faulty products
• Perform assigned product manufacturing and assembly tasks
• Conduct quality checks on the functionality of parts and components
• Add finishing touches to the appearance of components
• Perform minor repairs and report breakdowns in a timely manner
• Keep equipment maintenance logs
• Collaborate with other departments to complete production orders on time
• Comply with internal policies and industry regulations
• Ensure work area is clean and safe

Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products. Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time.

Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand.

Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.
