Overview
Founded in 1963, Townley Engineering & Manufacturing is a rapidly growing, American-made solutions expert for wear and abrasion problems found in the mining, dredging, and power industries. We have an opening for a Manufacturing Technician in Assembly that assemble components by hand, add finishing touches to components, and perform quality checks on parts.
Essential Job Functions- Perform all product testing to ensure quality of each piece
- Maintain the tools used to create products
- Assemble products and parts
- Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions
- Verify specifications by measuring completed components
- Monitor the production line and remove faulty products
- Perform assigned product manufacturing and assembly tasks
- Conduct quality checks on the functionality of parts and components
- Add finishing touches to the appearance of components
- Perform minor repairs and report breakdowns in a timely manner
- Keep equipment maintenance logs
- Collaborate with other departments to complete production orders on time
- Comply with internal policies and industry regulations
- Ensure work area is clean and safe

Requirements- Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems
- Fabricating experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Work as a team within department and with other departments and leads
- Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with company policies
Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products. Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time.
Work EnvironmentManufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand.
Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.
