Are you passionate about driving efficiency and solving complex challenges on the production floor in an assembly focused manufacturing setting?
My client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their operations team in their suburban Chicago plant. This is a full-time, on-site role supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing of engineered-to-order systems.

- Competitive base salary: $90,000-$120,000 plus discretionary bonus depending on experience and education.

- Work with cross-functional teams on high-impact capital and productivity projects.
- Tuition reimbursement program.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes in mainly in an assembly environment as well as in CNC machining as needed.
- Create and manage BOMs, routers, and manufacturing documentation.
- Troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical production issues.
- Design tooling, fixtures, automation, and test systems for quality and efficiency.
- Support lean process flow improvements and kaizen initiatives.
- Collaborate with MRB, quality, and engineering to meet AS9100 standards.
- Be able to do the job as described.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
- Ideally 5 or more years experience within a manufacturing engineering capacity, assembly oriented experience preferred.
- Solid grasp of lean principles and shop floor CI practices and applying them to drive process and productivity improvements.
- Familiar with industrial standards, blueprint reading, and process layouts.
