Spray Dry Operator

Position: Spray Dry Operator I
** Position Summary*
* * Follow standard batching instructions to measure or weigh ingredients.
* Operate Spray Dry Equipment, Liquid Reactors
* Lifting heavy drums and bags while wearing proper PPE.
* Transfer materials, set up equipment, utilize piping and parts efficiently
* Strictly follow detailed instructions to monitor equipment, control temperatures and consistency of the mixes.
* Work in a fast-paced environment able to multi-task and perform under pressure while remaining flexible.
* Sample and test for various attributes from the mixes after completion.
* Follow sanitary guidelines for CIP and cleaning.
* Filling out necessary paperwork and batch sheets that accompany mixes compounded.
* Consistently perform assigned duties in a safe manner and in accordance with the company’s safety policies.
* Consistently perform and complete assigned duties without errors or other defects.
** Qualifications and Skill Requirements*
* * HS Diploma/GED Preferred
* Must have a general knowledge of workplace safety and quality processes (GMP’s, Allergens)
* Must have acute attention to detail
* Ability to use and read scales, accurate tare and recognize unit of measure requirements.
* Ability to perform basic mathematics (i.e., multiply, divide, add, percentages, etc.)
* Basic computer skills with RF scanner experience preferred
* Ability to manually lift 50 lbs. continuously when necessary
* The employee is required to wear a respirator after a Doctor’s approval and successfully passing the fit and pulmonary test.
* Effective communication skills to report any safety or quality issue to the Lead or Manager.
* External Candidates preferred to have experience compounding or batching in other industries

Salary rate: $20.00

The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.

For more information on our benefits click .This position is responsible for compounding in a production manufacturing facility. Compounders add raw materials and follow the formula requirements to complete production orders using equipment such as mixers, spray dryers and blending tanks*.
* They must follow standard batch instructions to accurately weigh dyes, chemicals, and other substances into the equipment. They must check for consistency in various batches and measure the viscosity of the mixtures. Required to take samples of the batch and turn them over to a laboratory for testing. They must follow food safety guidelines and accurate documentation of work completed.
