  • Perform sanitation verification checks (ATP, visual, allergen checks, documentation).
  • Ensure correct SSOP execution and appropriate use of chemicals, tools, and cleaning methods.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve sanitation access issues and in‑shift barriers.
  • Escalate sanitation, allergen, FM, or pest‑contributing conditions to management immediately.
Safety & Quality
  • Model safe work practices and ensure adherence to PPE, chemical handling, and LOTO requirements.
  • Support GMP walkthroughs, environmental swabbing, and clean‑equipment swab programs.
  • Identify and correct pest‑contributing conditions such as debris, residues, water pooling, or structural gaps.
People Leadership
  • Provide daily direction, expectations, and performance coaching to sanitation crew members.
  • Train team members on sanitation techniques, hygiene behaviors, and safe work rules.
  • Support onboarding and skill development for new sanitation employees.
  • Build a positive, accountable, and productive team environment.
Delivery & Improvement
  • Ensure sanitation tasks are completed in full to enable production start‑up.
  • React promptly to sanitation issues impacting equipment readiness or production schedules.
  • Identify recurring sanitation challenges and support improvement activities led by the Manager or Process Engineer.
What You Will Bring

  • Ability to lead and coach hourly crew members.
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures, chemicals, SSOPs, GMP, and IPM basics.
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Education / Certifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree or technical certification in Food Science, Quality, or related field preferred.
  • Training in chemical safety, sanitation procedures, GMPs, and IPM highly preferred.

  • Strong communication and ability to collaborate across shifts and functions.
  • Ability to work off‑shifts, weekends, and during sanitation‑intensive windows.
