- Status: Hourly Non-Exempt
- Position
Purpose:
Operates Pouch 1 & 2 and produces bubble pouches
- Responsible to set-up, operate and troubleshoot equipment and processes.
- Ensure first offs are completed as per technical specifications.
- Ensure changeover is completed as per standard.
- Ensure equipment and set-up parameters are established, followed, and improved.
- Coaching and mentoring of assistants and helpers by providing clear and precise instructions, if assigned.
- Ensure materials required for changeover are available and secured prior to set-ups.
- Ensure product is packed and identified as per specifications.
- Ensure accurate inventory and effective control of materials and supplies.
- Ensure work‑center’s downtime is minimized by ensuring proper equipment set‑ups, material is present prior to changeover and report lack of raw materials, tooling and / or equipment issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Oversee the assistants and helpers/packers and provide clear and precise instructions to them.
- All duties outlined in the assistant job description.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- 2+ Years in a Manufacturing environment / machine operator experience preferred.
- Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required.
- Ability to work in space limited work area on continuous basis.
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis.
- General computer knowledge and experience handling paperwork.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role following recommended practices, with an emphasis on safety and injury prevention.
- Inventory experience preferred.
