GENERAL

SUMMARY

We are seeking a Buyer/Planner to manage procurement and planning for the React Health Ventilation business. This role drives manufacturing and business operations by executing MRP, optimizing supply plans, executing purchase orders, and collaborating cross-functionally to align operations and supply strategies. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong ERP expertise, advanced Excel skills, and supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, or a related field.
  • 4+ years’ work experience in supply chain focused on procurement, strategic sourcing, and planning.
  • 4+ years’ experience working in ERP Systems with a focus on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Experience working with quality management systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel being able to utilize complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and VBA (macros).
  • Strong understanding of material flow and inventory signals (MRP, Kanban, Min/Max)
PREFERRED EDUCATION
  • Master’s degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools (Kaizens, improvement workshops, etc.), and continuous improvement techniques.
  • APICS certified (CPIM, CSCP).
  • QMS (ISO 13485) experience for medical device design and manufacturing.
  • Experience in using business intelligence software and/or coding programs (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R) to draw insights and enable decision-making.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills required. Must be able to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Requires normal visual acuity and hearing.
  • Typically, employees sit comfortably to do their work, interspersed by brief periods of standing, walking, bending, carrying papers and books, and extensive periods requiring the use of computer terminals to accomplish work objectives.
  • Required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and manipulate keys on a keyboard.
  • Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department or line of business.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Predominantly operates in an office environment.
  • Some work (less than 5%) may require moving or lifting materials on the manufacturing floor or in a warehouse.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Create supply plans based on historical usage and new projected requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional reviews to align on supply requirements, layering on qualitative insights into the statistical forecast.
  • Own and run MRP for components used in manufacturing.
  • Managing component inventory to be at/or above safety stock levels.
  • Process various types of Purchase Orders per demand and MRP requisitions.
  • Partner with suppliers to acquire confirmation of delivery dates for both full and partial shipments and notify the Operations team of potential delays.
  • Track orders from placement through delivery, updating the PO status and delivery information in our ERP system.
  • Collaborate with the materials/warehouse/quality teams to resolve discrepancies related to material receiving and/or RMA processing.
  • Support ad-hoc requests to purchase materials needed by internal teams.
  • Attends and participates in departmental meetings.
  • Attends seminars and training sessions necessary to maintain appropriate level of professional competence.
