QA Technician Job Summary
QA Technician performs daily evaluation of work in process and finished products to ensure strict adherence to specifications regarding product safety and quality. Responsible for tracking paperwork and submitting correct and timely information. Performs sanitation, GMP and other required inspections. Maintains HACCP, SQF and customer compliance documents.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Monitors production process to assure that products are meeting quality and safety specs
- Perform pre-operational and operational inspections of equipment and production areas
- Performs incoming inspections of carriers, ingredients, and packaging materials
- Monitors, analyzes, and documents in-process conditions, materials, and products
- Collects samples for microbiology testing of ingredients and finished products
- Enforces QA policies and procedures
- Audits production areas and personnel
- Collects samples for environmental microbiology monitoring of production areas
- Performs GMP audits and monitors GMP conditions
- Assisting in complaint investigations where necessary
- Monitors equipment calibrations
- Measures and monitors temperatures
- Completes accurate QA documentation
- Other duties as assigned
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math and reading skills
- Previous experience as a quality technician in a USDA‑monitored facility preferred
- Able to work within timelines and in pressure situations based on production needs
- Available to work scheduled hours and weekends as needed
- Able to stand, bend, climb up and down stairs for sustained periods of time, approximately 10‑12 hours per day as required
- Able to work in a refrigerated environment (32‑36 °F)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as required for job functions
- Play a key role in the launch of a next‑generation facility
- Work with a collaborative and innovation‑driven team
- Help deliver high‑quality, safe, and delicious food products to consumers
- Contribute to the future of food manufacturing through automation and sustainability
